NOCAD was formed in 1990. The mission is to help state coaches associations better serve coaches throughout the United States. In June of 1991, NOCAD was incorporated in the state of Oklahoma and the first official meeting took place. Twenty-three state coaches associations endorsed the articles of incorporation. Today the NOCAD family consists of 43 state coaches associations in 35 states representing over 150,000 member coaches.
